Biographical note

Shirani Rajapakse is a Sri Lankan poet and author. She has a BA in English Literature from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka and a MA in International Relations from the Jawaharlal Nehru University, India. Rajapakse has worked at the Sunday Times and Daily Mirror, Sri Lanka and at the World Bank and Commonwealth Secretariat. She is now a full time writer. A member of the English Writers Cooperative (EWC) from 2013 – 2016, the oldest writers group in the country, she was also briefly on the editorial board of New Ceylon Writing in 2016.
