About the Book
From the outside, Valencia Lawson Jarrett’s life looks perfect: she has a great job, lives in a posh part of London and has the love of her long-term boyfriend, Liam.
But looks can be deceiving. Beneath the surface, Val’s insecurities begin to eat away at their happiness. Does Liam really love her enough? Why, just for once, can’t he prioritise her over his work?
As the cracks begin to show, she finds herself drawn to the charming, strikingly handsome Jac Sealer, a serial entrepreneur, who showers her with all the attention and affection she is looking for.
It seems like a dream – but, as Val finds out to her cost, dreams can quickly become nightmares.
Soon she finds herself a prisoner in her own home; physically and emotionally abused, by a man who claims to love her. Can she find the strength to escape or will her gilded cage be her new reality?
Walk Quiet, Run Quick is a gripping story of passion and survival; of finding the strength to move forward, without looking back.
From the Book
Val glimpsed at the clock, aligning the white painted feature wall. The opposing walls were still unembellished, undecided on picture frames or shelving, but there was a comfy mustard coloured chair, sequestered in the far corner. She promised Ashley, she’d see her at 9.30 am. It was already 8.35. She turned to vacate the room, only to be stopped by Jac. He gripped her left arm pulling her towards him. His face was inches from hers. She could smell minted toothpaste on his breath. He had a steely look in his eyes.
“Don’t walk away from me when I’m talking to you.”
“Let go of my arm. You’re hurting me Jac.” Val tried to pull her arm away.
“I want you here with me Val.”
“Jac I have to take care of business.”
His grip loosened, as his tone softened. “Sorry I didn’t mean to do that. I love you Val.” He whispered in her ear drawing her in close. “I miss you when you’re not here with me. Please stay home today. We can spend time under the duvet. Just the two of us and eat ice cream.”

Jacqueline decided to take her writing more seriously. So in January 2017, Jacqueline became a contributing co-Author of Blind Spot – what the eyes didn’t see.
